Abstract
Mediation in criminal procedure is successfully practiced for more years in criminal offenses committed by adults as well as in criminal offences committed by children. In our country, even thou mediation is predicted with the Mediation Law, as well as with other legal regulations, it has still not being practiced enough.
During 2018 a survey has been conducted on judges, prosecutors, lawyers and mediators from the area of the Court of Appeal in Bitola, with goal to collect information about the viewpoint and opinion of the judges from the primary courts, the prosecutors from the primary public prosecutions, the lawyers and the mediators about in which crimes mediation would be most appropriate.
The data gotten from the research can be motivation for the public officials, in cases when laws are enabling it, to suggest mediation in criminal procedure more often to the parties, as more efficient and cheaper way of solving criminal court cases.
