Abstract
Management systems for quality worldwide know as QMS are the basic item for continuous organizational improvements, no mater the organizational structure, hierarchy, equipment and number of employees.
Having in mind that the basic cycle for continuous improvements is based on customer focus, the ISO 9001 standard is one of the key players on the market.
Seeing the market in Macedonia, and comparing the financials needed to implement such a system the same one is more than "not needed" especially for the small and medium companies with a financial lack of resources.
The basic aim of this paper is to present a part of an extensive research conducted in Macedonian enterprises, but also to present some of the key factors for successful and effective implementation of the same ones.
