Abstract
The Wavelet transform is described as a tool for creating an image pseudo-hash in order to enable content-based image retrieval. The images are decomposed in few levels and the most important wavelet detail coefficients are selected to compose the pseudo-hash. When searching for digital images in
large database, the pseudo-hashes of the images are considered
instead of the images themselves.
