Abstract
Crime control is an imperative of every country in the world. The dysfunctionality of the current strategies for crime combating encourages them to seek new solutions. The countries are increasingly abandoning the idea of repression as a main goal of the crime policy and they are orienting themselves towards a crime control approach, where the control of the individual is a novelty . Only by effective management of offenders and victims of the crime and other deviant behavior, by applying comprehensive measures of isolation, resocialization (treatment), probation, social protection, crime control and reconciliation (mediation, restoration and reparation), based on the risk management and profiling of offenders and victims, crime, deviant behavior and revictimization can be prevented.
Starting from the perceived problem, the doctoral thesis researched the current systemic set-up of the individual prevention and presented a new applicable Model of individual crime prevention.
This scientific paper provides practical examples of how to establish and implement Individual crime prevention in the Republic of North Macedonia, by determining the overall legislation, organizational set-up, systemic solutions and specific tasks of state bodies, local community and NGO sector.
