Abstract
The main subject of the doctoral dissertation is security and the types of responsibility of participants in traffic of the roads through the Republic of Macedonia.
The research problem is particularly explained by using a aetiologic-phenomenological and victimological analysis of traffic accidents and their consequences in the Republic of Macedonia in the period 2003-2012. There is detailed presentation of their trends, volume, dynamics, movement, structure and structural changes by the factors and
reasons for their occurrence, and consequences arising from them. Responsibility of participants in road traffic is addressed by moral, material, misdemeanor and criminal legal
responsibility, with all their features and aspects.
With the preventive aspects and concluding remarks and recommendations is intended to contribute for improving the safety of all road traffic users in the Republic of Macedonia.
The key objective to be achieved through research in the paper is a specialized scientific explanation, interpretation and analysis of road traffic-safety situation and position of participants in road traffic in the Republic of Macedonia and proposing general and specific preventive measures, actions and activities for reducing safety risks and dangers that brings with itself participation in road traffic.
