The subject of the work rises from the part and the tasks of the police, particularly the aspect when comes to creation of complex security requirements for whose resolution the use of highly specialized intervention teams is essential.
In order to conduct the tasks of these formations efficiently the proper structuring is essential, however, due to lack of predetermined criteria for their structuring, within the research a theoretical global model is proposed that is tested and optimized based on the received results with the option to offer solution for the manner in which the structuring of the police formations of the special police units in Republic of Macedonia should be done.
The survey is realized over a selected model composed of two groups of respondents, 80 police officers from the special unit for quick deployment (UQD) and 80 police officers from the special mobile unit for fight against crime (Alpha). In the survey are used standardized instruments for estimation of the anthropometric, biometric and psychological characteristics and specially prepared questionnaire, and also a complex statistical analysis is used in manifest and latent space.
After the application of the statistical methods and analyses, the condition and the structure of all psychosomatic characteristics that are significant for the structuring of the police formations is determined, and according to them, also are determined all the necessary procedures that should be taken into consideration when defining and establishing the optimal empirical model for structuring the police formations.
