Abstract
The Republic of Macedonia joins the countries that are trying to prevent i.e. to control the appearance of violence and missbehaviour in sports events.
The approach of R. Macedonia is generally preventive, and that prevention is basically achieved, i.e. is operationalized through the so-called legal prevention which means normative determination of the appearance of violence and indecent behavior in sports competitions.
The study of criminological characteristics allows us time "get to know" the most significant „values“ of violence and missbehaviour in sports events, as well as to discover the most important reasons (social, political, economic and individual - personal) that act as one
kind of catalysts in the process of violence and misconduct in sports competitions.
The criminal characteristics of the crime, as well as the process of their detailed explanation, will enable us and will open space for us, primarily the state and its institutions, to be in a suitable situation and to be able to create an appropriate criminal policy that can fully to respond to the needs arising from this phenomenon.
This systemic approach (multidisciplinary and multinational) can be an appropriate guarantee that R. Macedonia is ready and as a country is in a position to respond to the
challenges arising from the emergence of violence in sports competitions.
