Abstract
The main subject of the dissertation is the efficiency within crime investigation activity of the crimes associated with drug abuse. This activity, along with the process
of clarifying and proving, is doing by the Ministry of Interior, Prosecutor's Office together with the Judicial Police and the Customs Administration. There are also other
intermediary bodies, mainly inspections in charge in combating these types of crimes.
For this purpose, mainly through the analysis of statistical data obtained from these government bodies, as well as through annual publications of the State Statistical
Office relating to reported, accused and convicted offenders, will be made summary tables for the ten years researched period of time (2006-2015) in order to be determined the filtration of these crimes through the criminal investigation proces. Within the dissertation is conducted interview with personel of the criminal investigation agencies, in order to obtain and compare their attitudes, opinions and perceptions for the effectiveness in dealing with crimes related to drug abuse.
Special emphasis within the doctoral thesis will be put on preventive model for dealing with crimes related to drug abuse through the creation of specific measures,
activities and solutions, because of the fact that standalone application of the repressive measures are not giving significant results in this sphere.
