Abstract

Tourists today are increasingly demanding, and the goal of every industry, and of course the tourism industry, is to meet their needs and expectations. Improving quality leads to tourism development that satisfies tourism service providers, while preserving natural and cultural
resources and stimulating Kosovo's economic development. Quality must be at the core of Kosovo's tourism development strategy. For each tourist product and service it should prescribe quality standards as a guarantee of total quality.
The purpose of this dissertation is to establish the legal aspect of catering facilities, with
particular reference to hotels as a factor for tourism development in Kosovo. Namely, the development of tourism would bring not only economic development but also contribute to the socio-political development of Kosovo. Therefore it is very important to point out the positive
impact of applying the categorization standards of catering establishments which largely derive from European Union standards. To accomplish the purpose of the dissertation we will conduct a case analysis, through previous surveys of those responsible for applying the categorization in order to obtain information and data on the potential impact and effects of applying the laws, the categorization
rulebooks. As a general conclusion we can say that this dissertation provides for scientific enrichment of the impact of legal regulation on categorization of catering establishments in Kosovo, with emphasis on catering and categorization through their definition. The analysis has
shown us that the implementation of the categorization is the basis for hotels and other catering facilities that satisfy the high world demands that Kosovo strives for and that offer great benefits for the whole country. Starting from the subject and the objectives of the research, by applying appropriate research methods, a clear positive response was obtained to the hypothesis that the
legal aspect of the criteria for the categorization of hotels affects the development of tourism
