Abstract
Teaching ESP on a tertiary level can present a real challenge for lecturers of English. owing to the numerous diverse study programs incorporated into the university studies, their specific features, as well as their changeable nature in the course of time, very often it is impossible to find appropriate course books which will be compatible with the syllabuses of the major courses of the various programs. Hence the instructors of ESP do not merely have the role of teachers, but also the roles of course designers, material providers, collaborators, researchers and evaluators (Dudley-Evans et al., 1998).
