Brazil, Russia, India and China, although lately they have greater aspirations to join them, Indonesia also shows, they aim to revive the so-called "big five". At their first official summit held in June 2009, in Yekaterinburg, Russia, they made clear their idea of establishing a multipolar world order with a proposal to introduce a global reserve currency. The basic idea of these four countries is to provide the world with energy and food. BRIC was a myth that became a reality and it is a matter of time "when and if" it will grow into a political institution.
