Научниот Институт за тутун – Прилеп располага со богати колекции на ориенталски, крупнолисни и полуориенталски типови тутун. Покрај што години наназад не се произведува полуотинталскиот тип тутун во Одделението за генетика селекција и семеконтрола постојано се одржуваат веќе создадените сорти, и се создаваат нови сори кои со своите квалитативни и квантитативни карактеристики се надеваме дека ќе најдат примена во тутунското производство. Како резултат на интензивното оплеменување на овој тип тутун, создадени се сорти и линии кои се одликуваат со многу добри приноси и квалитет.
Затоа целта на испитувањето ни беше да се прикажат производните карактеристики на признатите сорти и перспективните линии во ЦМС форма.
Според добиените податоци заклучуваме дека оплеменетите фертилни и машкостерилни сорти и линии се одликуваат со многу подобри квантитативни и квалитативни карактеристики споредено со контролата, посебно машкостерилната О. Златоврв ЦМС F9.

Scientific Tobacco Institute - Prilep has a rich collections of oriental, large-leaf and semi-oriental types of tobacco. In addition to the fact that the semi-orienta type of tobacco has not been produced for years, the Department of Genetics Selection and Semi-Control constantly maintains the already created varieties, and new varieties are created which with their qualitative and quantitative characteristics we hope will find application in tobacco production. As a result of the intensive breeding of this type of tobacco, varieties and lines have been created that are characterized by very good yields and quality.
This includes the semi-oriental tobaccos, with new varieties and lines with better yield and quality characteristics created in the Institute, as a result of the intensive breeding.
The aim of the paper was to present productional characteristics of the recognized varieties and prospective lines in CMS form.
It can be stated that the newly created fertile and male sterile varieties and lines are characterized by much better quantitative and qualitative characteristics compared to control vatety, especially the male sterile line O - Zlatovrv CMS F9.
