Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to perceive the impact of insurance on economic growth in the Republic of Macedonia. Theoretically, it will be stated how economic growth is influenced through the insurance. Through tabular and graphic displays for the period from 2011 to 2016, sub-data on the number of policies sold, gross policed premium (total gross policed premium and separate gross policed premium for life and non-life insurance), degree of penetration, insurance density and Herfindahl index. Through those data, the impact of insurance on economic growth in Macedonia will be examined. The final observations will indicate whether the impact is at a satisfactory level and how economic growth would increase through the action of the insurance sector.
