Macedonia is a source of Slavic‟s culture and literacy. Handwritten ancient
monuments and the holy books represent the work of our enlighteners.
The Glory of St. Clement is great. His values and achievements in numerous
fields testify for him. He was born about 830AD and originated from the territory of
the Macedonian Peninsula, probably from the Ohrid Region.
St. Clement, above all, had a great spiritual significance for the members of
the Orthodox Slavs. His message is clear, our Macedonian categorical imperative
and ethical advice: “Get away from the evil and do gooddeeds.“ It was his
philosophy of life.
The authors of this paper intend to explain the attitude of St. Clement to the
good, good governance and a just society. Or, as he would saywhen he spoke of the
good: “only by a word to be called Christians, but in the spiritual struggle to set and
surpass each other with kindness...from now on to celebrate our Lord with good
deeds, even though we used to live in weakness and laziness to this day, but since
today to try to do good deeds“.
