Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to discuss the international, national and institutional grounds for higher education internationalisation and, as a key issue, the individual contribution to the internationalisation of the study programmes and curricula for the medium and small universities. The applied methodology follows the qualitative approach and is based on the analysis of the
international, national and institutional impact,
through individual endeavor, on the internationalisation of the curricula and study programmes.
The analyses of the internationalisation impact on the curricula and study programmes resulted in findings refer to the academic rationale for achieving international standards, usually undertaken by the institutions to ensure high-quality global standards, as a crucial benefit from higher education internationalisation process.
