Abstract
Based on the comparative investigations of genotypes O 9-18/2 and O 18/1 in 1983, 1984 and 1985, the following statements can be drawn:
- In all three years, the new genotype O 18/1 achieved a higher yield per stalk, compared to the standard O 9-18/2, and was statistically justified for 1%.
- The O 18/1 genotype achieved a higher yield per hectare, compared to the standard, in all three years, and was significant for 1%.
- The average purchase price, achieved by the genotype O 18/1 in 1983, was significant for 5%, and 1985 for 1%.
- The percentual representation of the higher classes (I, II, III) in 1983 for both genotypes, was very poor, and in 1984 and 1985, high.
- The O 18/1 genotype, in all three years of investigation, achieved a gross monetary income significant for 1% as compared to the standard.
- The results of degustation approved that the O 18/1 is very close to the standard.
