Abstract

For companies dealing with the production of fireplaces, i.e. furnace-stoves for space heating, it is very important to have proper guidelines when developing new products in order to achieve several important goals: 1. the financial costs of new products to be minimal, 2. the product to have a nice design and attract the eye of the buyer, 3. utilization of fuel to be maximum, i.e. having a high degree of fuel efficiency, 4. carbon monoxide in the exhaust gases to be minimal and 5. all of this to result in getting a CE -Certificate of Product so that they can be sold in markets in the EU and EFTA.
In this paper we will present our experience in this field, gained in the development of two models of fireplaces-stoves, for the firm Metalec AD Bitola.
