Abstract

In 2007, Government of the Republic of Macedonia identified tourism, together with agriculture, as priority sectors for development. National Strategy for tourism development for period 2008-2012 was adopted by Government of the Republic of Macedonia in december 2007.
This act is essential for tourism development in Republic of Macedonia, and it affects tourism in wider Balkan region.
It is very comprehensive document which give better direction to the macedonian tourist development, and surely will contribute to the proper growth of macedonian tourism sector.
