Abstract
Growth and development are of central significance to all economies of the world. The economies of the
world are classified as developed, underdeveloped or developing economies on the basis of different indicators of
economic development. In this paper will be explained the concept of underdevelopment, differences between
developed and underdeveloped economies as well as strategies for increasing economic development of the
underdeveloped economies.
