The effectiveness was investigated of chemicals Quadris, Acrobat, Alanat, Ridomil gold and Antracol in the control of P. tabacina, and of Quadris, Stroby and Rubigan in the control of E. cichoracearum on tobacco. Investigations were made during 2003 and 2004, in field conditions for Blue mould and in controlled conditions for powdery mildew.
The intensity of blue mould disease in the check was 15,24, while in treated variants it was much lower, ranging from 0,12% in Quadris to 1,24% in Acrobat and 5,12% in Antracol.
The intensity of powdery mildew disease in the check was 51,24%, and in the investigated chemicals it was considerably lower, ranging 0.32 in Stroby, 0,46% in Quadris and 9,67% in Rubigan.
The investigated fungicides showed high effectiveness in the control of blue mould and powdery mildew diseases on tobacco. The highest coefficient of effectiveness in blue mould control was obtained wit Quadris (99,13%) and Acrobat (91,84%). In the control of powdery mildew, this coefficient is 99,37% for Stroby, 99,10 for Quadris and 81,13% for Rubigan. Especially good results in the control of these two diseases are obtained with the chemical Quadris.
