This paper examines the different possibilities for development of tourism in the Municipality of Cair. There is a real need for advancing current development of tourism. Tourism has significantly been increasing for the past decade. However, the municipality is one of the smallest in the country, with urban characteristics. On the other hand, it has numerous tourism values which are not being used on a satisfactory level. Thus, the need arose to determine new methods for creating attractive tourism products with the available resources. This paper is the result from the conducted research activities on the territory of the municipality. It presents the findings from the study for creating a Strategy for tourism development. The results should allow an optimal use of the available resources in terms of urban tourism development. In this sense elaborated are different recommended measures and activities that have to be implemented in the future.
