Abstract
Prior to the revision of the criminal legislation in 2004, when human trafficking was defined as a criminal act, in our country there was no uniform understanding of this term.
Such a state caused confusion in the terminology of human trafficking and other similar occurrences. Same occurrences were defined with different terms, different occurrences with same terms, there was unnecessary creation of synonyms and antonyms.
This paper gives insight into the meaning of the concept of human trafficking, the differences among deviant occurrences, with particular emphasis on prostitution and smuggling migrants.
Key words: human trafficking, ramification of concepts, occurrences similar to human trafficking, prostitution, smuggling migrants
