After the disintegration of federal Yugoslavia, each of the six republics embarked on its way. Today, about twenty years later, although all the fraternal countries originate from the same federation, each of them, on its own, special way is different from the others. That difference is evident in every area of the modern life, so it’s the same in the area of law. Although all federal units for many years have been run by the legal solutions of the organs of the federation and after separation their legal acts were built on the common ones, yet the different development on each plan, led to the emergence of more or less good implemented solutions to the same global problems, in our case trafficking of human beings and smuggling of migrants.
The aim of the work is to point out the difference in the criminal and legal solutions to the trafficking of human beings and smuggling of migrants in the former Yugoslav republics, ranging from the fact of common legal roots of those countries.
Key words: comparative review, criminal and legal solutions, trafficking of human beings, smuggling of migrants, former Yugoslav republics
