Abstract The purpose of the paper is to analyze and
present the concentrations of pollutants in the air, their
limits and their impacts on the environment and human
health. The results represent the average annual
concentrations of the pollutants analyzed, and the
condition of SO2, PM10 and O3 in Veles for the months of
May, June and July. The results of the measurement of the
concentration of SO2 and O3 show that their
concentration is significantly lower than the limit value.
The permissible limit value annually for suspended
particles is 50mg / m³ and a license for exceeding 35 days
per year. According to the results determined more
exceedances during these three months. In May, the limit
is exceeded 2 times, in June recorded 11 exceedances in July 8, the highest exceeding by 120 µg/m3 in July.
According to the results we realized that e necessary to
implement measures to reduce emissions and protect air
quality, to improve air quality and reduce the impact of
pollution on human health and the environment.
