Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are major players in achieving sustainable growth and development of any country in the world regardless of their level of economic development.
In today's business environment, SMEs face with very powerful forces that shape the competitive position and change the rules of the game. Innovations are becoming a necessity for small and medium sized enterprises, in order to remain competitive and maintain growth and development in today's dynamic and uncertain environment. SMEs innovation initiatives are delayed as a result of problems related to the
provision of external financing for their business activities.
