Public waste management is one of the main challenges for the contemporary local governments in the
world. The organization, financing and budgeting of public waste disposal is one of the basic conditions for
successful local development in both developed and developing countries. This paper will look at possible legal
solutions considering public waste disposal, human resources or the manpower that is employed within the
public services specialized in dealing with waste disposal treatment, financing, as well as possible ways of
managing public waste disposal in local governments in the United States. Finally, the paper gives an overview
of the so-called integrative program of public waste disposal with an accent on the present as well as future
potential problems that emerge or can emerge during management of public waste on local government level in the United States.
