The work of the local government and the local administration as a very important research topic nowadays is a subject of permanent research interest that has a very important strategic meaning for the Republic of Macedonia. In contemporary context, the Macedonian administration needs to represent an acceptable service centre of modern character in order to help the citizens in achieving their rights within the local community that they naturally belong. The goal of the research in this article is to detect some conditions of the functioning of administration on local governmental level in the Republic of Macedonia with the purpose of identifying some possible measures that can be undertaken in near future. The survey research was implemented during 2016 in the municipalities of Bitola, Demir Hisar, Novaci and Mogila. As was expected, the results of the research point out that there is a difference in the given answers on the questions provided in the survey according the conditions in which each of the these municipalities operates within the Pelagonia statistical region.
