Abstract
This paper presents an engineering-focused study of thermal printing technology applied in automated ticket vending systems. The work analyzes the practical integration of the MTT-300 thermal printer into kiosk-based environments, addressing mechanical design, electronic interfacing, software control, IoT-based diagnostics, predictive
maintenance, and ticket security mechanisms. Experimental
evaluation under real operational conditions demonstrates a
63% increase in system reliability, a 47% reduction in
maintenance interventions, and a 28% decrease in energy
consumption compared to legacy printing solutions. The
results confirm that modern thermal printing, when combined
with intelligent monitoring and predictive maintenance,
represents a robust and future-proof solution for unattended
ticketing infrastructure.
