Abstract
This study's primary objective was to examine the relationships between fatty acids and the
predominant pattern that distinguishes two distinct agricultural systems based on the presence or absence of
graze practices. In particular, the study assessed the effect of grazing on the fatty acid composition of meat
samples collected from two farms during the 2022 season. It is essential to note that these farms were
meticulously chosen to ensure that their non-grazing season locations and management practices were
identical. The concentrations of fatty acids were determined using gas chromatography, a reliable analytical
technique. The obtained results demonstrated significant differences in the fatty acid compositions of meat
samples from grazing and non-grazing agricultural systems. These results suggest that the presence or absence
of grazing practices has a discernible effect on the fatty acid composition of calf meat. By expanding the scope
of this study and examining the differences in fatty acid content between the two agricultural systems, we can
obtain valuable insights into the potential impact of grazing practices on the nutritional characteristics of meat.
These results may have significant ramifications for producers, consumers, and the agricultural industry as a
whole. Further analysis and investigation of this subject could contribute to the development of
environmentally responsible and sustainable agricultural practices that maximize the nutritional value of
livestock products.
