Abstract
Numerous studies and research indicate to the various aspects of studying the effects of blended learning in different fields of study that generally indicate blended learning as a very useful approach. Its advantages have come to the fore especially during and after Covid-19, as a result of which universities were forced to reorient themselves to different learning formats in order to enable the realization of the teaching process and to attract more students.
The realization of teaching and the effects of the application of blended learning among students from the service sector study programs at the University St. Kliment Ohridski(UKLO), Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality (FTH) – Ohrid, particularly hotel management, gastronomy and management in service sector, are the subject of elaboration in this paper. The main goal is to present the research results from the bilateral project that was funded through the bilateral “Scientific & Technological Cooperation”, on the Austrian side by the Austrian Academic Exchange Service (ÖAD) and on the Macedonian side by the Ministry of Education and Science in order to elaborate the advantages and disadvantages of this approach in the higher education teaching and learning process.
