Economic security and stability are an essential prerequisite for the security of the state and area the basis for economic growth and development. National security is extremely important for the development of the economy. After the end of the Cold War, a more significant presence of the economic factor in international relations was noted. Within the framework of the paper, the author analyzes the terms "sustainable development", "economic security", "economic stability", "economic independence". Within the paper, the author also analyses the European Union's plan for accelerated economic growth. In the final part of the paper, the author concludes – True sustainable development includes all three pillars of development, economic, social and environmental; the development of human society takes place in global security conditions, determined by political, economic, social, moral, cultural and other factors. States, by respecting global changes and development in the world, protect their own identity, survival and interests. The national economy can be advanced by attracting foreign investments, developing high-teach economic sectors, creating strategic reserves of raw materials, building a unified transport infrastructure, concluding new economic partnerships and strengthening independence in various economic sectors, partly through rational import substitution.
The content will be created based on the analysis of foreign literature and using electronic content. In preparing the content of the paper, the author will apply the general scientific methods: the descriptive method, the normative method, the comparative method and the content analysis method as a special scientific method.
