Abstract

in the Republic of Macedonia is condition sine qua non for any present and future same or similar study of the subject. The development of modern Internal Security Network is of extreme importance for the overall global and regional integrations of the country, more precisely, EU and NATO integrations. The principal research objective of the paper is: • to get and to analyze information about management and financing of Internal Security Agencies, both public and private, in the Republic of Macedonia. The scope of the research in this paper is covering explanation of the abovementioned objectives and will depend on the knowledge and available data that exists in the literature and practice of the Macedonian Internal Security System and Internal Security Agencies that are part of the system. In correlation with the main objective and scope of the analysis in the paper, the research will concentrate in answering the following research questions: • How the agencies are managed? What type of management they practice? • How they are managing its financial resources? What are their financial sources? The research design in the paper will follow the following research steps: • Introduction; • Research questions; • Literature review of the past and present same or similar research in Macedonian and international context; • Presenting and analyzing the management approaches and financial sources of the agencies; • Research results; • Conclusions; and • Future recommendations. For the purpose of writing the paper, we employed a combination of different methodology aspects that are based on: • content analysis of various governmental documents and research papers that are dealing with the System of Internal Security in the Republic of Macedonia; • using administrative databases and numerical data for the purpose of explaining the research issues; • interviews with managers/employees in Internal Security Agencies, both public and private; and • deduction approach will be applied through the content analysis.
