Abstract

The paper will explore the epistemological components of the power of
the European Union, perceived through the concepts of normative and
transformative power and their political, security and defense premises.
Investigation of these concepts is directly inspired by their significance
and mutual relationship, and their applicability on the existing worldview
of the EU in international relations of the XXI century. The main research
objective of the paper consists in defining the powers of the EU through
concrete concepts, while starting from their external - political, security
and defense premises and implications.
