Abstract

The author of the Evaluation Report of the X-STOCK project thanks and acknowledges the encouragement, unfailing support and valuable suggestions that contributed to the improvement of the quality of the Report provided by Mr. Elmar GÖBL and Mr. Roland MAIER (Austrian Red Cross) and Mr. Nebojsa MEDOJEVIC (IFRC Cluster Country Office in Sarajevo), but equally appreciate their full logistical support in planning field activities as invaluable effort for efficient data collection.
I extend my appreciation to respective project partners’ and other involved stakeholders’ representatives for their cooperation and allocated time. The implementation of all activities would not have been possible without expressed professionalism in providing access to interviewees, events, and documents, as well as full cooperation by professionals from various institutions and contracted staff.
Special thanks are extended to all persons involved in project design (explaining the project idea, needs and expectations), representatives from national Red Cross societies and national civil protection authorities, who was available to meet with me, share their experiences and provide insights about project goals’ achievements.
I extend my appreciation to all other participants for their willingness to cooperate and allocated time, as well as for valuable information, opinions, and experiences that they shared with me as consultant and representatives from the project’s coordinator (Austrian Red Cross) and two work package (WP) leads (IFRC and Red Cross of Serbia).
