Abstract

Electrochromic copper(I) oxide thin films were
deposited onto conductive glass substrates using low vacuum
evaporation method. An electrochromic test device with aqueous
solution as an electrolyte was constructed. The transmittance
spectra of the films in their three different states: as-prepared,
coloured and bleached in the visible part of spectrum were
recorded and the data were used to estimate of the energy band
gap.
