Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find the relationship between workplace accidents and the lack of education and training for Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) among municipal waste management workers. The study focused on determining semi-demographic characteristics, the level of understanding of the importance of personal protective equipment (PPE) in preventing injuries, as well as how much information employees have received about the risks they can and will face in the workplace, and necessary training in relation to OSH and knowledge of OSH law in the country. The research was carried out in the city of Debar, North Macedonia, and the obtained results show that all employees were male, most of the workers belonged to the 46-60 age group and none of them had the necessary training on OSH.
