Abstract

An extremely important segment of the educational process is the moraleducation and the moral development of the individuals. This kind of educationhelps students gain and develop their moral values which will enable them to live agood life, and moreover to become productive and responsible members of thecommunities where they live and who will contribute to their development. Themoral values are formed in the early years of one’s life. Owing to this, the schooland the other factors, such as family, environment influence etc., are the key tobuilding a system of values which will enable the individual to become a morallysane person.This work stresses the significance of schools which are one of the mostrelevant factors in the students’ motivation, development and upgrading their moralvalues, especially emphasizing the role of schools in the moral education of thegifted. In the schools through educational work the moral education of the studentsare developed, and its final goal is to make them moral people with a behaviorwhich is a reflection of the behavior that is accepted by the society. The schoolshave a very responsible role in order to put an emphasis on the moral education andtend to achieve its tasks: to gain a system of knowledge which will refer to moral, tocreate moral attitudes, to form positive features and moral qualities, as well as toprovide conditions for development of the moral education.In the work, too, the teacher’s role to develop the moral education ispointed out, especially when working with the gifted in the heterogeneous classesand certain activities and techniques that can be taken by the teacher in order toteach about moral development of the gifted and the other students are considered,for example, discussions, small group activities, role play etc. At the same time, theother factors like emotional atmosphere, positive interaction between teacher andstudents and so on are pointed out which had to be taken into consideration by theteacher during the development and the promotion of the moral sensitivity of students, especially the gifted ones.
