Abstract

Education in future implies a reconstruction in the education system. This practically meansimplementation of reform of the entire educat ional system and development of conception of thepermanent education accorded w ith social needs and changes. The presented work here is anintegral part of a broader set up and realized pre liminary project on „Redefinition of EducationStructure of Republic of Serbia“ forwarded to the Ministry of Education of the Republic ofSerbia in 2010. The preliminary proj ect guided by Ph.D. Miroslav Ku кa and Ph.D. Vu кosavaZivкović was realized in the team work and in coordi nation of work of the central and regionalworking groups in Serbia and the surrounding countries having 80 collaborators in totalworking on the project. Model of our structure of the education system extends the period ofcompulsory education up to 10 years of age (till the first grade of hi gh school which is the samefor all regarding the curriculum) and is based on differentiation of the education levels (frompreschool to high school) in cycles, which, on their part, are defined by aims and tasks. Short-term, middle-term and long-term aims have been clearly defi ned and concise division ofcompetence and the follow-up methods of successf ulness of its implementation has been madewithin the proposal of our model.
