Abstract

Tourism as one of the leading world industries has respectable influence towards world economy flows. There are many indicators (physical and financial) that confirm importance of tourism industry in certain country. One of those indicators is exactly tourist balance, as part of country pay-balance, expressed by all international transactions of the country made on tourism base. Pay-balance situation reflects real economic condition of the country; in fact, countries with positive pay balance are sufficient and otherwise. Many countries are reducing their negative pay-balance and also are converting it into positive with incomes realized on tourist balance base. Still, on the other hand, there are some differenced countries realizing negative tourist balance. It is worth to mention that effects of tourism on tourist pay-balance are hard to determine because of the complex of tourism industry as well as lack of necessary data, so there is a need to mark all those elements that can not be calculated in tourist balance. In that way we can confirm potential of the tourism industry and its impact on national economy. Anyway, data given in tourist balance are still worth to realize potential of tourism sector development of any country, as well as Macedonia in this case.
