Abstract

Talent and talent management have rarely been as important to the success of organizations as they are today. A global and mobile workforce, multi - generational organizations and a more diverse, empowered workforce have changed the workplace. The great freedom, responsibility, and demands of organizations to constantly change caused by new processes inevitably reflect the skills and competencies of managers and employees to achieve their goals. Having talent employees at all levels of organizational structure that can handle these complex problems is a vital factor in achieving success. It all makes talent management an inevitable management process in modern days. However, attracting the best talent from the job market is not an easy activity. It requires a lot competence, expertise and experience of the part of the organization to recruit the best in the business.
The aim of this paper is to present the essence of talent management and to emphasize the importance of talent management. Paper begins with a presentation and explanation of the definition of talent and talent management (including its functions and benefits). Then has been shown and discussed process of talent management presented in the literature. The paper concludes by presenting a talent management tool that can help to identify the performance and behavior of employees in order to reach their full potential.
