Abstract

Two-year experiment (2001-2002) was set in the Trial field of Tobacco Institute-Prilep, with
3 semioriental and 4 perspektive lines of Otlia tobacco, including: Otlia 9-18/2 (standard), Otlia 87,
Otlia 110-88/3, l. O.61-9/2, l.O.88-61/9 and l.O.Zlatovrv.
Standard methodology was applied during investigations.
According to the results obtained, the following statements can be drawn:
Height of the plant with inflorescence and number of leaves in newly investigated varieties
and lines is higher compared to the standard. The highest among them was l. O.Zlatovrv (157,6 cm)
and the highest leaf number was found in l. O.88-61/9 (44,5 leaves).
Length and with of the middle and undertop leaves were higher in all investigated varieties
and lines compared to the standard .
The morpho-biologycal varieties and lines, according to their quantitative characters, showed
higher values compared to the standard, especially emphasizing the perspective lines O. 88-61/9 and
l. O.Zlatovrv.
