For investigation of some productional characteristics of certain varieties of Burley tobacco, a trial consisting of three introduced varieties (Kentucky 14 (ø), Stella, B-1000 ) and three domestic hybrid lines (B- 198/11 CMS F1, B-204/10 CMS F1, B-205/10 CMS F1) was set up in 2011 and 2012 in the field of Scientific Tobacco Institute – Prilep. The introduced variety Kentucky 14 was used as a check. Investigations were made on diluvial soil, using randomized block design with 4 replications and the results obtained were statistically processed.
The highest values for dry tobacco yield per stalk and per unit area were recorded in B-198/11 CMS F1 hybrid lines (155.6 g/stalk and 3459 kg/ha). The hybrid lines achieved higher average purchase price and gross income compared to the check. The highest average gross income of 172. 145 denars/ha was recorded in the line B- 198/11 CMS F1.
