Abstract

Foreign direct investment is an integral part of an open international economic system and a major catalyst to development. Foreign direct investment grows more rapidly in the global economy and contributes for the globalization of business and interdependence of the world’s economies.
A company decision to invest in another country is the result of complex analysis. This analysis concludes more factors of investment like economic condition, host country policies, strategies of the company and other factors.
In this paper will be present global trends and the determinants of foreign direct investment and the developmental effect of foreign direct investment.
