Abstract

The language of a nation is its cultural heritage, and cultural identity, and that’s why it is of great importance to cultivate and constantly affirm it. This also applies for the spoken and written expression of the native speakers of that language in all spheres of the life. In this sense, the need for special attention and care for the standard norm of the Macedonian language is imposed. This need includes respect of the principles, which are the basis of the Macedonian language, stressing the conscious planning, directing of the language development, as well as taking into consideration the developmental tendencies of the language. This paper explores the deviations of the standard norm of the Macedonian language, which can be found in the advertising texts of the printed advertisements. Besides that, the paper comprises solutions for accurately shaping of the texts, in accordance with the norm, as well as indication for greater attention for the written form of the Macedonian standard language. The paper also includes indications for the need of improvement and the need for more specified orthographic solutions introduced with the codification.
