Abstract

English for Biotechnology: Language and Grammar Workbook has been developed as a supplementary resource to accompany English in Biotechnology by Lidija Popovska (2003). Designed for undergraduate students of biotechnology and related disciplines, the workbook provides systematic practice in grammar, specialized vocabulary, reading comprehension, and language skills within an English for Specific Purposes (ESP) framework. The activities are intended to reinforce language structures and terminology relevant to academic study and professional communication in biotechnology. By integrating grammar practice with discipline-specific contexts, the workbook supports the development of communicative competence while encouraging learners to apply English in authentic scientific and educational settings. Suitable for both classroom instruction and independent study, the workbook serves as a practical resource for students seeking to strengthen their linguistic proficiency alongside their subject knowledge.
