Abstract

This book presents an archival edition of the Master's thesis originally completed in 2006, examining James Joyce's short story Araby through the analysis of stylistic devices and their role in the literary representation of Irish culture. The study explores symbolism, epiphany, myth, archetype, narrative perspective, irony, and other stylistic features to demonstrate how Joyce transforms everyday experience into a rich representation of cultural identity and human consciousness. This edition preserves the original academic content while presenting it in a publication format with corrections limited to typographical, formatting, punctuation, and publication-related adjustments.
