Abstract

The iterative algorithme of Chen and Lee for the design of quasiequiripple QMF banks in the frequency domain is modified; the weighting function incorporated in the objective
function is updated at the end of each iteration. As a result, the number of iteration and the number of floating point operations are reduced significantly.
