Abstract

Contemporary business world impel development of tourism phenomenon. In the same time its complexity and dynamics impose the necessity for strategic thinking of tourism corporations as a tourism product carriers and the planning process has to catch on as a key factor for achieving successful performances. In this context planning is a primary management function which determines other management functions. By planning function managers specify the corporation development directions and the creation of tourist product towards tourists demands on the global tourist market.
Therefore, the manager’s task is to direct their efforts towards maximum efficiency of the planning process. This paper will include some more important methods for effective planning as:
1. top management involvement in creating climate for planning support;
2. developing the system of planned decisions which have to be made on different organizational levels;
3. planning process has to be based on team approach;
4. efficiency organization of the planning process;
5. introduction of the planning process which has the implementation in its focus.
