Abstract

The labor market is a complex system of connections between the available work forces for their involvement at the labor market as well as the available free working places that in the present exist in the national economy. Consequently, the role of the educational system in decreasing of the unemployment or increasing the employment level is a key imperative for achieving general well-being and cadre’s future development. The preparation of the cadres and their further professional development where through the selection process should enable them full access to the labor market is difficult, serious and long process that must comply with current and future challenges and advances offered by the labor market. The purpose of this paper is to try to give an integral picture of the role and importance of the educational process in the education of professionals for the job market. The focus will be on analyzing the current situation in the educational process, measures and activities that institutions take to meet the challenges of the labor market and consequently, the conditions that exist on the labor market in Macedonia and the EU. Regarding the use of data it was consulted contemporary literature, data from institutions, and numerous statements by officials regarding the educational system and the labor market in Macedonia and EU. The survey results point to numerous problems that require immediate action by the competent institutions in the field of educational process. The study findings point to closer cooperation of educational institutions with all other institutions that care for the development of staff in order to continuously monitor and adjust the movements of the labor market.
