Abstract

The use of a biocontrol agent Trichoderma is effective, eco-friendly and cheap way of plant
protection. Our researching confirmed the efficacy of T. harzianum in reducing the root rot disease in
tobacco seedlings. The effect is greater in the larger quantity of the biocontrol agent.
According to literature data, certain manures have different influence on the biocontrol agentʼs
development. Therefore, the objective of this researching was to determine the influence of different
manuers on the quantitative presence of Trichoderma spp.
It was estimated that researched manures have a possitive impact on increasing the quantitative presence
of a biocontrol agent in soil.
Among various manures, the colony forming units (cfu/g soil) of Trichoderma spp. is the biggest in a
goat manure (19,21 х 104).
Mulching of tobacco seedbeds with combination of a sheep+goat manure and sheep+farmyard manure
has expressive positive effect on increasing the quantity of a biocontrol agent in soil. There is the bigest
quantity of Trichoderma spp. in a combination sheep+goat manure (48,20 х 104 cfu/g soil).
A biq quantity has a possitive influence on expressing the mechanisms of action of biocontrolniot agent
Trichoderma. This means that the right choice of a manure for mulching has an additional positive effect on
its biocontrol activity in tobacco seedlings protection.
